The staff of the Double Toe Jam Workshop would like to extend a HUGE
THANK YOU to everybody that helped make this year's event a huge
success! Attendance for this year's DTJ actually exceeded
that of last year's workshop, and we look forward to continuing that trend
next year as we hope you'll join us for DTJ ON BROADWAY.
DTJ 2010 kicked off Friday afternoon with three hours of solid workshops,
featuring new material from our fabulous Texas Instructors, as well as
a repeat of our "Rapid Fire" room - a room dedicated exclusively
to routines from the Texas Dance List.
Later that evening, the Welcome Dance was a huge hit as hundreds of cloggers
tore up the dance floor to their favorite tunes, as well as learned some
new matrial from our national instructors!
On Saturday, national instructors Scotty Billz and Jeff Driggs along
with many of our talented Texas (or Texan at heart) instructors gave us
EIGHT solid hours of fourty-eight individual, top-notch clogging workshops!
From the most beginner to the most advanced, there was a little something
for every clogger.
This year's event wrapped up on Saturday evening with our annual DTJ
Exhibitions, featuring several teams this year
performing in the spotlight. Many of the teams in attendance accepted
the challenge of choreographing a routine that went along with the "Footloose"
theme - and one of the teams was awarded a cash prize of $100! Congratulations
to Down Home Cloggers!
